Our founder, Sarah Mildrum, is one of the only Emergency Responder and Public Safety Certified Clinicians in Maine, ensuring expert and empathetic care.

We prioritize creating a safe, judgment-free space that protects your confidentiality, allowing you to openly share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear. Our services are offered both in-person and virtually, ensuring accessibility for all first responders, frontline workers, and their families.

Our programs address issues such as flashbacks, agitation, intrusive thoughts, emotional control, isolation, anxiety, depression, sleep disturbances, substance use problems, and work-life balance issues. We also focus on treating Emergency Responder Exhaustion Syndrome.

Informed by national best practices and collaboratively developed with emergency response staff, our services are tailored to meet the specific psychological and emotional needs of emergency responders and frontline workers, addressing their day-to-day challenges.

ASAP is a specialized intervention designed to help emergency response workers adapt and cope with acute stressors encountered in their roles, providing targeted interventions to address immediate stressors and build resilience.

Our Peer Support program focuses on building municipal peer support teams. We help emergency response organizations develop and integrate peer support teams, equipping them with the necessary training and tools to support their colleagues. This approach ensures that first responders have access to a robust, internal support system that understands the unique challenges of the profession.

Couples Intensive therapy focuses on strengthening the relationships of first responders, frontline workers, and their partners, allowing couples to address communication issues, emotional challenges, and the impact of the profession on their relationship in a supportive environment.

Wellness Checks are regular assessments conducted by our therapists to monitor the mental and emotional well-being of first responders, aiming to identify any emerging issues early on for timely intervention and support. They are not mental health treatment.

We offer appointments by request to accommodate shift work.

Therapy sessions are typically 60-minutes, but we also offer three-day, five-day, and 14-day intensives for more concentrated work on specific issues or goals.

We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, and health savings account cards. We require 24 hours notice for cancellations to avoid being charged.
